Elgin Park is a made up town, created by Michael Paul Smith, it is kind of his get away.
Michael is pretty relate-able, even though I'm not gay, I've been bullied.
Maggie Taylor takes photos and combines them to create unreal, yet realistic prints, she does most work on computers.
Michael and Maggie both take elements from different things to make one whole amazing image. Maggie works with computers though, Michael uses models to create images. These two humans are both extremely creative, and they have both found their get away. Maggie has someone revise her work usually, but Michael doesn't, he just sets up the scene and shoots.
I relate to Michael more, but I do think I enjoy Maggie's work a bit more. I love the real-ish aspect of it, yet it isn't real at all. Her work is a bit abstract and creepy and I like it.
